Shower time essentials

July 15, 2018

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well!
Isn’t this weather so amazing at the moment? England is having a proper summer for the first time in years and I’m so here for it. With the sunshine beating down, there’s nothing nicer than getting home from work and hopping in the shower to freshen up. Working in the heat is tiring and sweaty stuff. I thought I’d pop together some of my shower time essentials.

Original source shower gel

A strong contender for my favourite shower gels ever (alongside soap and glory.) The brand are vegan friendly which is amazing and the range of scents will blow your nose away. Vanilla and raspberry is my go to. It lathers well, feels creamy and nourishing while making me feel clean. There’s always offers on these so they’re super affordable too.

Soap and glory breakfast scrub

If I could eat this stuff, I would! This scrub is quite harsh and bitty but that’s what my skin needs sometimes. I love slathering this all over in circular motions. Gets rid of all the dry, flaky skin and leaves me feeling smooth and silky. If you’re looking for something a little less rough, I’d recommend the “scrub of your life” from S&G. Both are amazing but the pancake and syrup smell in the breakfast scrub wins it for me.

Friction free shaving Rose gold razor & post shave balm

Shaving is the bane of my life. It’s the last thing I wanna do in the shower, but with Friction free shaving this all changed. The Rose gold razor is great for a close shave and the post shave balm keeps my skin cool and calm. I’ve done a whole post on friction free shaving so click here if you wanna know more.

Garnier Micellar water

Think it’s safe to say we all know this stuff is a tiny miracle in a bottle. Gives my face a good clean and removes any old scrap of makeup. Using this daily helps keep my skin clear and cleansed and I’ve noticed a real difference.

Electric cleansing brush

Skincare game changer. My face tends to get quite dry and flaky very quickly. Using this brush with some face wash a few times a week helps combat that. It gently vibrates to stimulate cell growth while scrubbing away the yucky skin. Mine is just a cheap brush from Llyods pharmacy but I’ve had it years and it works so well for me.

Superdrug body butter

This is more post shower, but I just adore these little pots of delicious smelling body butter. I enjoy the lime and ginger one the most but for the sake of a pretty picture I added the berries one (which is a close second favourite.) Rubbing this all over after a shower keeps my skin nourished and moisturised while smelling lush!

So that wraps up my little shower time essentials post. I hope you’ve enjoyed it!
Let me know in the comments below your favourite shower products.

Ooh I do love the smell of that Original Source shower gel but my go to is the honey and vanilla gel from Radox! I also love the Garnier Naturals shampoos – smell bloody amazing and remind me of holiday! Great post lovely! ❤️❤️

I do love a good Original Source gel, my personal favourite is the cherry and almond millk – so sweet and lovely!! I usually use a body shop face wash and I still am yet to try and soap and glory shower products but I LOVE the classic scent of their products so I will have to invest soon!

The shave balm sounds really good. I have a cheap electric cleansing brush that I’ve not even tried to use, thought it wouldn’t work compared to the more expensive ones, but reading about yours has made me want to give mine a go.

I love Original Source shower gels, they smell amazing and they’re so affordable as well! The vanilla and raspberry is my favourite one as well. I love Soap & Glory products, the scent of the scrub is gorgeous. I definitely need to get myself an electric cleaning brush x

Ooo I love this post! 😀 I love my shower/bath essentials, they just make my day when I use them!

I’ve never given the Soap & Glory Breakfast scrub a go, but I am in need of a new one so I may need to give this a try soon. 😀
