Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well!
So, for those who don’t know, Pixi beauty has teamed up with 3 amazing influencers to create a new collection of products, named “Pixi pretties”. Each influenser has two products they’ve proudly plastered all over social media (and rightly so too) I was lucky enough to receive the most beautiful PR package ever. It containing ever product in the range. So, I thought why not give you guys the low down. I decided it would be easier to break the collection down into 3 separate posts so we can cover things in more detail. Let’s dive into the Pixi beauty X Chloe Morello.
Chloe Morello is a huge beauty influenser, with millions of followers globally. This collection has been talked about within the blogging community a lot! Her collection consists of a face palette and lip icing gloss, both stunning and suitable for a range of skin tones.
Palette Chloette – £28.00
This versatile face palette contains 3 large pan blushes, 6 beautiful every day shimmer shades and a trio of liner/brow powders. The blush formulation is soft and subtle to add a cute flush of colour to the cheeks. I really like the middle pink shade, I found it’s the one that works best on my pale skin without making me look like a clown.
The eye shadows are rich in pigment and can be used to create a lovely everyday look or a building shimmer for special occasions. All six eyeshadows blend effortlessly and compliment each other very well. In terms of the liner/brow trio, they aren’t as pigmented as I’d hoped. The deeper brown shade works okay in my brows but feels a tad to powdery for me. I’m more of a pomade kinda girl, but they work fine on the lids or so a softer liner look.
Lip icing “Cake” – £16.00
This was the product that caught my eye out of everything from the entire collection. I’m a big fan of the whole “lip topper” thing so this was always going to be a winner in my book. The gloss is a pale bronzey gold with super fine pink, silver and gold reflects. This gloss works well on it’s own or on top of a nude/pink lip to add a bit of glamour and sparkle. The glitter is so fine you can’t feel it on the lips (who else hates those gritty glitter glosses) and is infused with Rose hip oil to soften and nourish the lips. The formula doesn’t feel sticky at all, but does need to be topped up throughout the day. I like the flat wand it comes with, made for easy and even application. I’ve decided I love this gloss so much, I’m probably going to wear it on my wedding day.
I’m a sucker for pretty packaging. Pixi always seem to nail it. The palette stays true to the Pixi green we all know and love. It’s slim and light weight which makes it perfect for travelling or taking on the go with you. The clear lid makes it easy to see what products and shades are in the palette and everything feels quite sturdy. The lip icing is a clear squared tube which is good for seeing when you’re running low and the lid is the true Pixi green.
Overall, I loved this collection. The face palette reflects Chloe’s style and personality really well, she’s done a great job with the shades and formulas. I love the shimmer shadows so much. I know they’re going to get a lot of use and the pale pink blush might just be my new favourite. The “Cake” lip icing was a great touch to the collection and I’m glad a lip product was included. I feel the price point is a little steep but you can’t argue that the quality is there. If you’re looking to get this collection I’d deffo recommend it.
