Mermaid Highlighter || Review

November 4, 2017

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well!
Anyone who knows me well can tell you how much I love mermaids (way before this whole mermaid unicorn trend) so naturally I was super happy when mermaid highlighter dropped through my letter box. The guys over at makeup revolution have clearly been busy in the labs creating new and exciting products for us beauty junkies and this mermaid highlighter is one of the newest launches.

Mermaid highlighter

Review:

So, lets take a second to really appreciate how pretty this mermaid highlighter is. You get five stunning shimmer shades to mix and match to create your perfect custom glow. On their own, they’re super nice but when your swirl your brush you get a gorgeously unique colour that I think would suit a lot of skin tones. The icy blue shade was by far my favourite and it really popped on the high points of my face. Now the glow is quite intense from theses so if you’re not into that, then use a very light hand and just a dab of product If like me you’re into the whole intergalactic, ridiculously pigmented highlight then you can use a damp brush to further intensify the glow.

Now, I’m not gonna lie there was some fall out on my brush and on my first attempt with this, I did use way to much which really emphasised the texture and pores on my skin, but I quickly learned that a little really does go a long way and when applied correctly it looks stunning.

There’s a lot of these heart shaped beauts to chose from from highlights to blushes. All available on the Tam beauty website & superdrug online. I’m sure these are going to fly of the shelves so grab one while you can. They retail for a very reasonable £5 and for the amount of product, I think that’s a very good deal!

    […] A gorgeous selection of shades that suit a variety of skin tones. You can use each one on it’s own or swirl your brush around for a custom colour. Use this with a light hand because the pigmentation is blinding. A little goes a long way with this product so you’re getting such a good deal considering this is only £3! This is one of my go-to highlights because it can be built up and doesn’t sink into my pores. I done a review on this already, which you can read here. […]
