Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well!
These days it isn’t uncommon to see a lot of celeb’s launching their own makeup lines and collaborating with brands on cool new products for us to lustre after. Being no exception, Dame Joan Collins launched her “Timeless Beauty” range in 2014. Aiming to not only inspire women, but to provide them with the tools to feel beautiful at any age. With that beautiful concept in mind, lets dive in to some of the Divine lips lipsticks.
The Divine lips lipstick range was inspired by previous iconic characters Dame Joan has played throughout her ever so successful acting career and I love that she’s added that personal touch to the collection.
“Alexis” – A beautiful deep burgundy shade that is perfect for day or night
“Marilyn” – A gorgeous pinky terracotta shade that suits almost every skin tone.
Swatches and application:
The brand boasts of a high moisture level in the formula that is actively hydrating and luscious feeling on the lips without compromising on lasting power! When I first twisted the tube it was clear to see the rich colour and moisture in the bullet. I had high hopes for these as I tend to get quite dry lips, especially during the winter months.
Upon swatching, both the shades I have felt silky soft and super comfortable on my lips. The colour didn’t sink into any fine lines around my lips or bleed which is exactly what I look for in a lipstick! I did have to reapply after a few hours but that didn’t bother me too much. I absolutly loved the finish of these lipstick. They had a slight glossy finish and Marilyn to have an ever so slight shimmer which was really pretty!
Packaging:
Packaging wise, I think these are very classic and classy looking. The gold colour is beautiful and the ribbed affect makes it easy to grip on application, but the tubes may look a tad familiar..Charlotte Tilbury dupe? There’s no denying that the packaging is incredibly similar to the Matte Revolution lipsticks from CT, even Joans logo is similar but do I think they’re dupes? Probably not, other than packaging they’re completely different in formula and finish.
I was super impressed with the performance of the lipsticks, I’m sure they’ll get loads of wear over the next few months! I love that Joan Collins is cruelty free too!
The Divine lips lipsticks retail for a respectable £18 which I think is pretty reasonable for such a good quality lipstick. You can browse the 16 different shades on the Joan Collins beauty website.

Oh I was wondering what this collection was like. Perfect wintery shades.
The first thing I thought when I saw your swatches was how lucious they look! I can’t stand the feeling of a really dry lipstick. I love the shades too. Bold and confident looking, just like Joan!
Love anything to do with lipstick! I’m looking forward to following your blog!
It really looks like a great product. Love the fact it has a great moisturiser
Love the colors and am glad that they worked out well for you. Are these available in stores?
Wow!!! Those shades of lipsticks look so gorgeous. Will definitely try this divine lips brand.
It’s the first time I heard of this brand. There’s so many types of lipsticks in the market that I’ve gave up trying to follow a certain brand. I try my best to go for one without too much chemicals~
I am in love with the colour ‘Alexis’ in your photos! Beautiful!
