Pregnancy Q&A

May 5, 2019

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well!
Now that I’m nearing the end of pregnancy, I thought it’d be fun to do a little pregnancy Q&A. I took to Instagram stories and left the option for you guys to ask me absolutely anything about pregnancy. I got quite a lot of questions so I will do  my best to answer them all as best and honestly as I can. Let’s jump straight in!

pregnancy Q&A

Q- What has been your favourite part about pregnancy so far?

A- Not gonna lie, it’s been quite a rough journey, but there have been some lovely moments. The first time I felt his movements was really special. I love feeling him wriggling around in there and once he’s out it’ll be something I miss. I’ve also really enjoyed creating his little nursery room. From painting it, to organising all his clothes, it’s been a really lovely focus. Watching my house fill up with baby items has been surreal and I can’t wait until he arrives

Mama bee belly butter review

April 20, 2019

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well.
Since being pregnant, I’ve been pretty quiet on the blog. For a multitude of reasons really but I found a product that I think you’ll really love (hopefully as much as I do). The product in question is Mama bee cream from Burts bees. Primarily, it’s advertised as a belly butter, but I have been slathering this on all over and I can’t get enough. Here’s why.

Mama bee cream

Overview

To start with, it’s fragrance free. This was quite a big deal for me in the early stages of pregnancy when my nose was extremely sensitive to smell. I thought the cocoa or Shea butter scents might sneak through, but they didn’t. Secondly, it’s a 99% natural and contains no parabens or nasty chemicals, yay! My skin is quite dry and sensitive so it was nice to know the Mama bee cream wouldn’t cause my skin to flare up or become irritate. The cream itself is a thick, cool consistency, which feels really nice on application and doesn’t leave oily greasy residue. Nobody needs that.

I’ve been using the Mama bee cream since around week 12. As I write this, I’m almost 30 weeks and I still have a fair amount left. You get decent amount (6.5oz/185g) and it’s fairly inexpensive. As I mentioned previously, I put this everywhere. Mainly of course on my belly and breasts, but it feels great over freshly shaved legs. Bonus! So for the tenner  you’re spending, you’re getting a pretty good deal. Pretty sure I got mine from boots but it’s quite easy to get hold of.

Final thoughts

The idea behind the cream is to keep your skin soft and moisturised throughout pregnancy to aid the skin as it stretches. I certainly feel it’s done just that for me. Not sure if it’s the Mama bee cream or if I’m just lucky but I’m yet to get a single stretch mark *touches wood*. If you’re in the market for a pregnancy belly butter, I’d really recommend the Mama bee cream. I enjoy it so much that I’ll probably purchase another tub when little mans arrives.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little review. Hopefully I’ll be back soon with some new mummy related content.
Have a catch up on my previous posts.

Window to the womb – Early gender scan (AD- Gifted)

March 4, 2019

Hey Lovelies, Hope you’re all okay!
It’s been a while since I’ve got behind the keyboard and written a post. There’s been a lot that’s happened! If you follow some of my socials you’ll probably know that I am expecting a baby, due July 1st and we’re completely over the moon. With pregnancy, I have had to prioritise things more and focus on making sure baby is happy and healthy growing away. So that’s why I’ve been quiet. That being said, I feel it’s only right to include some updates, news and other baby/pregnancy content with you now.
Pregnancy has completely consumed me. If I’m not talking about it, I’m thinking about it. I want to share my journey with you. What better way to kick things off then to share with you baby’s gender. We were very kindly invited to Window to the womb in Watford for a complimentary early gender and well being scan.

A change is coming – 2019 blog re-launch

October 21, 2018

Hey loveliess, I hope you’re all warm and well!
Recently, I’ve taken a back step from blogging. Now, there’s a good reason behind this. To be completely honest, I was bored of it. Bored of creating the same old content week in, week out. Publishing posts just for the sake of having something up. Guess you could say, I fell out of love with blogging. That’s something that makes me so sad. So, I’ve decided, A change is coming.

Taking a step back.

What people don’t really understand is that behind the scenes of blogging, there’s a lot of pressure. Trying to keep up with latest trends, having the newest products to talk about. Posting on Instagram every day while making your whole grid look pretty. It can take hours to put together a post. From brainstorming idea’s, shooting images, editing, writing and promoting. Blogging isn’t my full time job. I actually work full time in a day nursery as a room leader. Helping to care for and develop tiny humans. That in itself takes a lot of energy. Trying to juggle that with blogging as well as friendships, house work, being a good wife and making sure that I’m actually alright. I got a bit much you know. So I took a step back and that’s when I started to realise I wanted to make some changes.

A change is coming

In the heart of Shoreditch, Village underground played host to the fabulous launch party. A unique and creative space made for a wonderful venue and I think was a great reflection on the design of the bracelet. The room was packed with people. From influencers to employees.
