Mama bee belly butter review

April 20, 2019

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well.
Since being pregnant, I’ve been pretty quiet on the blog. For a multitude of reasons really but I found a product that I think you’ll really love (hopefully as much as I do). The product in question is Mama bee cream from Burts bees. Primarily, it’s advertised as a belly butter, but I have been slathering this on all over and I can’t get enough. Here’s why.

Mama bee cream

Overview

To start with, it’s fragrance free. This was quite a big deal for me in the early stages of pregnancy when my nose was extremely sensitive to smell. I thought the cocoa or Shea butter scents might sneak through, but they didn’t. Secondly, it’s a 99% natural and contains no parabens or nasty chemicals, yay! My skin is quite dry and sensitive so it was nice to know the Mama bee cream wouldn’t cause my skin to flare up or become irritate. The cream itself is a thick, cool consistency, which feels really nice on application and doesn’t leave oily greasy residue. Nobody needs that.

I’ve been using the Mama bee cream since around week 12. As I write this, I’m almost 30 weeks and I still have a fair amount left. You get decent amount (6.5oz/185g) and it’s fairly inexpensive. As I mentioned previously, I put this everywhere. Mainly of course on my belly and breasts, but it feels great over freshly shaved legs. Bonus! So for the tenner  you’re spending, you’re getting a pretty good deal. Pretty sure I got mine from boots but it’s quite easy to get hold of.

Final thoughts

The idea behind the cream is to keep your skin soft and moisturised throughout pregnancy to aid the skin as it stretches. I certainly feel it’s done just that for me. Not sure if it’s the Mama bee cream or if I’m just lucky but I’m yet to get a single stretch mark *touches wood*. If you’re in the market for a pregnancy belly butter, I’d really recommend the Mama bee cream. I enjoy it so much that I’ll probably purchase another tub when little mans arrives.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little review. Hopefully I’ll be back soon with some new mummy related content.
Have a catch up on my previous posts.

In the heart of Shoreditch, Village underground played host to the fabulous launch party. A unique and creative space made for a wonderful venue and I think was a great reflection on the design of the bracelet. The room was packed with people. From influencers to employees. Everyone seemed to have a be enjoying themselves which was great to see. Was quite a simple, yet effective layout and decor. There was huge light up rings which I thought were pretty cool!

Imogenation highlight to the moon palette

September 9, 2018

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well!
You guys seem to really like my Revolution x (insert youtuber name here) reviews. Back at it again but this time, the Imogenation hightlight to the moon palette. If you’re a fan of Imogen then you’ll know see loves a good highlight so I was excited to see what her face palette was all about. When I first heard the name, I thought the entire palette was going to be highlighters. Was pleasently suprised when I saw some contour shades in there too. It’s nice to have a mixture of shades in a palette and there seems to be a shade for most skin tones which I like. We all about the inclusion over here! Let’s not babble on too much, I’ll get on with it now.

Soph Extra spice palette || Review and Swatches

September 2, 2018

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well!
I’m probably the last person to publish their review on the Soph Extra spice palette but I thought I’d do it anyway. I wanted time to really be able to experiment with all the shades and see how they work on me. If you don’t know who Soph is, click here to see her Youtube chanel. Being such a massive fan of the first Soph palette I really had high hopes for this one. Obviously you guys know the I had to get it on launch (but the bank account said no *Sad Face*). Never the less, I have my thoughts, swatches are done and it’s time to get stuck into it.

Imogenation || The eyeshadow palette

August 27, 2018

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re all warm and well.
After a few weeks away from blogging, I’m back and ready to go! Thought I’d get straight back into it with a review of the Imogenation eye shadow palette. For those who don’t know, Imogen is a rapidly growing beauty and lifestlye youtuber. She burst onto the scene in January 2017. Since then, she’s captured our hearts and shared so much with us. If you want to catch up on her videos, you can find them here. So this palette was created in collaboration with Revolution, who are taking the drugstore by storm and changing the game for affordable makeup. I was so excited about this launch, couldn’t wait to have a play around. So let’s dive into it.
