Benefit badgal bang review

February 21, 2018

Hey lovelies, hope you’re all warm and well!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock recently, you won’t have missed the most recent product launch from benefit cosmetics. There was a lot of speculation before the launch on what it could be and I’d say it’s been the one of the most anticipated launches in the beauty community of recent. I am of course talking about the badgal bang mascara! The product that claims to be “out of this world” got everyone talking and I thought it was only right I got my mitts on one and done a badgal bang mascara review for you all. Let’s see if all the hype is worth it.

badgal bang mascara review

Packaging:

I just want to take a second to touch upon the packaging. Badgal bang comes in a soft matte black tube. The top of the wand is has some cute studded detail and the bold pink text really stands out against the black. I think the packaging reflects the “out of this world” phrase well and Benefit have done a great job on the packaging.

The claims:

Smudge proof & water resistant mascara with 36 hour wear. The brand boasts the a super lightweight formula using aero-particals (one of the lightest known materials) and a specially designed wand that coats lashes evenly from root to tip. The mascara is the blackest of black and creates dramatic length and volume to lashes.
Quite a lot of bold claims there, but are they all true?

Application and removal:

I’m going to chuck this out there now, this mascara is difficult to use a first. The formula is so intense, I felt it kind of overwhelmed my lashes. I applied to much and was hard to get it right without serious clumping. After more uses, it gets easier and now I’m in love. Using the wand from the root of my lashes to the tip, I wiggle the super flexible brush up and my lashes are instantly lifted, thick and full. I love a full lash look and that’s what I get from this mascara as well as extreme length. I did try to layer the mascara but ended up with super clumpy spider lashes and wasn’t really feeling it.
When it comes to removing the mascara, I had some difficulties. The formula is so long lasting it makes getting off. After a lot of makeup remover and cotton pads, it come off but I’m yet to find something that get’s it off easier.

Badgal bang, worth the hype?

As mentioned above, I do really love this mascara now I know how to use it effectively. It gives me exactly what I need from a mascara, length, volume and drama. The packaging is stunning and I think the hype is to be believed. It’s a little on the pricey side for a mascara, but I think you get what you pay for. I’d recommend this to anyone who’s thinking of purchasing it, just make sure you practice with it before making your mind up.

Ahh I was mooching at this in Debenhams at the weekend but got put off by the price – I turned round to Aaron and said it was the one that they sent everyone to the Maldives for and he knew exactly what I was on about you’ve definitely given me some food for thought though! ❤️

I am LOVING the sound of this mascara! The packaging is gorgeous and the wand looks right up my street too. I find there’s nothing worse than a big, clumpy wand for a mascara because you can’t get right down the edges of the lash line. I’m really tempted to pick this up now, I’d be interested to know whether it lives up to my love for Lash Sensational!

They might bring out a remover like they did before. It looks nice might invest on my Boots points though!

I’ve seen pictures of people wearing this mascara and it looks like it gives amazing results. I’m not too struck on the packaging or the price tag myself though, but then again it does look really promising on the lashes. I’d love to try it out for myself! x
